Catherine Smith |Wildlife Art and Illustration

Ok. So, this the part where I tell you a little bit about myself. Well, let's see. My first exposure to drawing came from Disney How to Draw [insert character name] books, supplied by a wonderfull old neighbor of mine in elementry school. As I entered middle school, my parents enrolled me in an afterschool program at Arquest School of Design . This is where the real learning and appriciation of wildlife art began and would continue through most of high school. In high school I joined all the school art clubs and entered various art shows [ even winning prizes most of the time :) ] Later, I went on to graduate from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration. As of now, I reside in Rhode Island where I paint and work to make it in the Big World outside of the college bubble.
